The Southern California KAPAP Association is headed up by Tad Nelson who has been associated with the KAPAP Academy since 2003. With over 18 years of combined law enforcement and military experience working in a variety of specialized units, Tad is able to utilize his real world experience and incorporate it into his KAPAP training. In addition to heading up the Southern California KAPAP Association and KAPAP Boot Camp, Tad is also a graduate of the FBI’s Firearms Instructor Course and is a Range Safety Officer for KAPAP’s Tactical Handgun Course.
While training under Avi Nardia and Albert Timen you learn that there are two types of fights: the one for your ego and the one for your life. KAPAP is for when you are in the fight for your life!
That is why the Southern California KAPAP Association training consists of three areas - mental and physical conditioning, weapons training, and unarmed defense concepts. What we
teach will provide a foundation for students to build upon and will help them understand the idea of "Any weapon, one mindset"
This is not just another self-defense program. KAPAP training will challenge students both physically and mentally, as they learn to utilize basic concepts found in both hand-to hand and weapons defense techniques.
